Our mission
Eastgate Academy seeks to create an environment that inspires, nurtures, challenges and supports young people in their development so that they are empowered to pursue their dreams with a lifelong network of support at their service. Through a world-class academic program, Eastgate Academy aims to develop thoughtful, broad-minded and caring young people with a sense of purpose and confidence. We aspire to be an International Baccalaureate World School.
Our vision
We provide a respectful learning community focused on academic excellence, healthy living, environmental stewardship, creative expression, and social responsibility in order to develop compassionate and confident individuals.
A letter from the Principal
Welcome to Eastgate Academy
We are first and foremost a community of students, educators and families committed to nurturing young people as they find their purpose and grow into their potential.
Our goal is to create a stimulating and supportive environment in which our learners can grow through an iterative process of inquiry, action and reflection. A culture of courage and curiosity encourages our learners to push the boundaries of their social, intellectual and physical comfort zones, while a culture of collaboration and community create a system of support from which our learners draw the confidence to learn from successes and set-backs.
It is an honour and privilege to join Eastgate Academy as the first principal and teacher, and I look forward to welcoming the first cohort of students in September 2021. Together, we will create the conditions in which each child can thrive.
